The project “Digitalizzazione del processo di Pianificazione e Raccolta Dati di Produzione” implemented by Cereria Terenzi Evelino Srl aimed to improve the efficiency and management of internal processes through: the implementation of a production planning system to support the growth and expansion of its markets; and the introduction of a new digital process of production data collection in the candle and perfume department.
The project aims to digitize the movement of products and raw materials in the production cycle, digitizing the document and electronic storage part and optimizing the traceability of product production batches.
The investment enabled the company to optimize some internal workflows, allowing the following issues and inefficiencies to be resolved:
- Mapping of production processes;
- Order fulfillment;
- Inventory and cleaning of product codes and warehouse availability;
- Control and quality directly in the production flow;
- Goods labeling
- Production and product lot traceability
The action has enabled Cereria Terenzi Evelino Srl to make the company’s entire production planning and management process completely digitized; drastically reducing the dispersion of information to which the company was subjected, due to a warehouse logistics management operating prevalently by manual means.
This digitized process not only provides certain and structured information even during the progress stages of production cycles; it has allowed the almost complete elimination of material handling and purchasing errors, allowing considerable savings in both absolute value and procurement time.
The realization of the project was also made possible thanks to the contribution provided by the Emilia-Romagna Region and the European Union through participation in the “Call for Support for the Digital Transition of Enterprises in Emilia-Romagna.” This intervention is part of the POR-FESR 2021-2027 – Action 1.2.3. “Support for the digitization of enterprises, including system actions for digital.”
