2021 marks the seventh centenary of the death of Dante Alighieri, founder of the Italian language and poetry, an incomparable genius who in his Divine Comedy has made places, people and tales of our land eternal and immortal.
We are talking about Paolo and Francesca, the inevitability of their love and their kiss, the charm and majesty of Gradara castle: the protagonists who inspired – and continue to inspire – the genesis of V Canto creations.
Fragments of legendary lives staged a stone’s throw from the Candle Palace. Indelible memories that recall our childhood and the moments shared together with our grandparents Guglielmo and Bigia, founders of our Cereria. Fascinating verses and stories, listened and inhaled in silence while facing the horizon, among the sinuosity of the hills and the reflections of the sea. Strolls through the high castle walls, sandcastles built by the sea, dreams of infinity that light up the soul.
Splendors that live in V Canto perfumes, precious creations that contain poetry and medieval history made of passion, love, sins, virtues, vices, but above all true humanity, through essences that speak an international language, able to break down every barrier and speak directly to the hearts of men.
Splendors that become concrete in the iconic bottle: the union in a warm embrace of two bodies, the female and the chivalrous one, the shape that embodies the female body and the cap representing the helmet, the soft velvet to pay homage to the dress worn by Francesca, still preserved in the museum of Gradara castle.
From Creators to Patrons of Arts
To celebrate this cultural heritage, which over the centuries has become heritage of humanity, we have left our identity as creative artists to enter the role of Patron of Arts.
As Cereria Terenzi Evelino and as main sponsor, we have supported the BACI DAL MONDO event | WORLDWIDE KISSES, ecumenical flash mob in tribute to Dante and Francesca da Rimini, scheduled for the 8th of March, organized by the Francesca da Rimini International Study Center, the Municipality of Rimini and the Municipality of Gradara, in collaboration with the Emilia Romagna Region, the Le Marche Region, and with the patronage of the Italian Dante Society and The Dante Society of America.
From Adelaide to Siena, from Paris to Sao Paulo, from Quito to Ekaterinburg, from Fribourg to Buenos Aires, from Ravenna to Shanghai, from Santiniketan to New York, from Barcelona to Los Angeles, from Göttingen to Toronto, from Amsterdam to Johannesburg: for the occasion students and teachers from 21 international universities will recite, animate and comment in the language of their country the verses of the V Canto from Dante’s Inferno, in live streaming and via social media, with the direction and spectacle of Galli Theater in Rimini.
It will be a special occasion to pay homage to Francesca, a poetic creature born with Dante and then grown popular with the Enlightenment and Romanticism.
And surprises don’t just end here.
Joining the flash mob in honor of Francesca is only the first episode of the journey that awaits us in the weeks and months ahead of us.
Keep following us!
